nūt is the work of two sisters from Cairo who grew up with the smell of leather in the souq and the geometry of mashrabeya windows in the afternoon light. What began as a conversation between siblings became a small workshop, then a quiet brand.

The careful eye. Nour studied design in Cairo and London before returning home to trace the patterns she grew up walking past. She draws every piece by hand, obsessive about proportion and the way a strap falls on a shoulder.
The youngerYasmin
Craft · Workshop
The maker. Yasmin runs the workshop in Cairo, sitting beside the craftspeople who cut, stitch and finish every bag. She negotiates leather, sources brass, and refuses to ship anything that wouldn't survive a generation.

Heritage first
We build from techniques that already exist, Khayamiya stitching, mashrabeya geometry, Khan el-Khalili leatherwork, and let them lead the design.
Small numbers
Every release is a capsule. We would rather make few well than many quickly. Pieces are numbered, not mass-produced.
Named hands
Our craftspeople are not anonymous suppliers. They are partners we know, pay fairly, and credit by name in the workshop.
